BEMER Group Overview
Best Suited For: People who are experienced in network marketing and marketing in general.
Summary: Better Health. Better Life. BEMER is an MLM company that was founded in 1998 by Peter Gleim as Innomed International AG, and in the year 2010 was renamed accordingly. It has been receiving quite the hype for the last few years, growing more in revenue. With growth comes different claims from researchers regarding their devices and way of marketing.
Recommended: Definitely not.
What Is BEMER Group?
Now, let’s delve deeper into BEMER. Who are they? What do they do? What do they offer? These are questions we typically start with. Let me do the honor to enlighten you.
BEMER is an MLM company that was founded in 1998 by Peter Gleim, although it had a different name. It used to be Innomed International AG but was later renamed accordingly in 2010. Their registered office stands at Triesen, Liechtenstein with 50 employees.
But what do they exactly do? They claim that through research, they were able to develop BEMER, "FDA Class II cleared consumer medical device that's easy-to-use, non-invasive and can temporarily increase local blood circulation.”
They have branched into subsidiary companies in 42 countries, with products that claim to promote overall vitality, relaxation, well-being, and relief of stress.
These products are offered by personal distributors, i.e., people who sign up and sell these directly to potential customers.
Kinda similar to the MLM company called Healy World.
BEMER Group's Product Line
To let you see a clearer picture, I’ve included some pictures and videos on how their different products are used.
Their products are divided into 4 categories namely:
The Pro-Set, or their most popular duo, is specifically for the demanding user who expects and appreciates high quality and control over the many device features.
The control unit only includes their B-Box Professional which comes with three pre-defined programs that you can use at any of ten intensity levels. It could also be configured to include up to nine programs specifically tailored to user needs.
The applicators include the B.SPOT and the B.PAD. The former was made to specifically target small areas which can be held over or strapped to the spot you want it applied to while the latter can be strapped and applied to your body.
They have an ideal range of accessories that allows users to easily expand on other BEMER devices according to the user’s personal preference and needs.
Equipped with the BEMER-Signal that was discovered from over two decades of R&D, they’ve patented this “highly effective modulations of amplitude and frequency” to be included in all the devices they offer.

Cost & Payment
These products range from $209 - $4990. With what is available on their website, that is. Customers may contact a distributor to test the Pro-Set at home. All the products come with a three-year warranty. They've truly gone above and beyond the mandatory warranty periods.
Powered by Bread, they now offer monthly installments for their products with clear & transparent terms, fair rates, and no prepayment penalties.
Modes of payment available are the following:
- American Express
- Authorized Net
Claiming years of research saying that the “pulsed EM field miracle treatment” is advantageous to blood circulation, can people truly trust this? Or is it too good to be true?
Starting from TV host, fitness guru, podcaster, author, mother of four, philanthropist, cancer survivor Brooke Burke:
“BEMER helps reinforce all the steps that I’m taking in preventative care, so I can live a long, healthy, and active life. I started using BEMER twice a day for 8 minutes and it dramatically improved my sleep patterns, energy levels – I feel great.”
Other “BEMER Stories” include Peter D., Professional Pickleball Player Tyson McGuffin, Health & Wellness Celebrity Laila Ali, among others.
Recently, it also landed a partnership with NFL Alumni, where BEMER USA provides Members with state-of-the-art medical technology. If you ask, NFL Alumni is the oldest and most recognizable national organization of retired professional athletes.
The CEO, Beasley Reece even said, “Without it the stiffness and old NFL injuries can make life a little difficult, but using the BEMER restores my mobility and keeps me on the golf course.”
These seem quite convincing, don’t they? Especially when celebrities and professional players say that BEMER products improved their way of living.
But, will this be enough reason for people to ride on the hype?
Is BEMER Group a Pyramid Scheme?
Before you get to this question, it is best to know the main difference is between an MLM and a pyramid scheme but also the similarities.
A pyramid schemes are illegal, and a multi-level marketing companies for the most part, are not.
The only way an MLM can be a pyramid scheme is when the company isn't selling anything real except for the fact that you need to recruit people to make money.
Now to the similarity part or should I say the part that makes people think all MLMs are pyramid schemes or ponzi schemes.
Both utilizes the pyramid business structure that looks like this.
Only a small percentage of people within the organization or company is making 90% of all the generated revenue.
The majority of the people within the company or organization, the ones at the bottom of the pyramid, is making less than 10%.
At BEMER, you are not required to convince people or family members to join the company to make money, you can simply sell BEMER's product to make commissions off of it.
That's why this MLM company is not really considered a pyramid scheme unless the majority of the cash comes from the recruitment part of the business structure.
It all started in 2012 when Tapio Ala-Nissila expressed his worries about the technology utilized by BEMER.
Wait up. Why would we trust that Tapio Ala-Nissila? He may just be another one of the haters that are jealous of BEMER’s success.
Just so you know, our “hater” is from the University of Eastern Finland, associate professor of medicine, and is a soft-matter/biological physicist. Quite cool, huh? Though his allegations aren’t.
He thinks that it’s a classic homeopathic scam and he’s skeptical about the influence of EM fields on blood circulation. Worse, he thinks there are only adverse effects and no “miraculous healing” that could happen.
A Finnish interview was conducted with Dr. Ala-Nissilä in 2015. It covered different aspects of the controversy enveloping BEMER throughout the years.
The company’s turnover in 2014 was about 4 million euros with net sales increasing by more than 400,000 euros from the previous fiscal year.
As per Ala-Nissilä, BEMER’S claimed benefits of their devices is a complete fraud because they do not show proper scientific evidence.
Another allegation being the device is a simple oscillator, where the electrical component that pulse power is so small that it can not, in any way, affect humans.
These are some strong accusations right there. What’s worse is, in Finland, that houses about 200 BEMER retailers, should buy more than 3000 euros of the device itself.
If that isn’t enough, a new distributor must purchase a face value of EUR 500 training package, which are trained in using the device and its further selling or renting.
This is clearly network marketing.
But, as per company director Nils Kampen, this is a must because new dealers can’t sell the products unless they themselves are familiar with how it works.
Excuses? You decide.
How Much Does It Cost To Join BEMER Group?
So there are two ways for you to join BEMER Group, I call it the half-way and full-way. If you want to take full advantage of the compensation plan, you go with the latter.
To get access to their complete compensation plan, you would need to:
- Buy A Bemer
- Pay the $290 Initial Fee
- Pay the $144 Anual Fee
The cheapest Bemer available is around $4.290 and the more expensive ones can go all the way up to $6.000.
If you do the math, you would need to invest at least $4.724 to get started, which is insane to me because that's a lot of money
That's the kind of investment you need to make more money with this company, and if you don't want to take part in their recruitment system, which is fine but then you need to take the half-way option.
With the half-way option you can only make direct sales commissions only, no recruitment commissions.
That option will cost you $290 + $144, so a total of $434 to get started with. And not to forget that yourt first sale's commission will go to the person who recruited you.
If you think you can afford it, then ok but even then, I still think that's a bit too much to invest in.
BEMER Group's Compensation Plan
Compensation plans are like a guide, a guide that shows you what you can do to maximize your earnings potential.
MLMs have very complicated compensation plans, the majority of them are hard to decipher and grasp.
And with BEMER there is no different but I will still try to help you understand some of it, the most important features of the compensation plan.
- Affiliate Ranks
- Direct Sales Commissions
- Residual Commissions
Affiliate ranks are the ranking system within an MLM company, the higher up your rank is, the more you can earn.
There are a total of 7 affiliate ranks within BEMER:
- Independent Distributor Junior
- Independent Distributor Senior
- Group Leader
- Team Manager
- Organisational Manager
- Organisational Director
- Organisational Director Plus
The picture here shows all the affiliate ranks and the bonuses you can get. Once you joined the program, you will achieve the first and second rank.
In order for you to achieve the 3rd rank or higher, you need to meet a certain amount of sales.

Direct Sales Commissions
This type of commission is what you will make once you have successfully sold a product. The percentage you will make as profit depends on your rank.
By looking at the compensation chart I shared above, you can see that at the first two ranks you will receive 17% to 25% as commission.
The higher up you go in rankings the higher your percentage will become.
And of course, the more BEMER products you sell, the more money you can make, if you are rank 1 and you sold the cheapest BEMER product that's $4.290, you are set to make at least $700 per sale.
This is made through building your own down line within the company. The more people you are able to recruit, the more residual commissions you can earn.
BEMER makes use of the unilevel compensation structure, the business structure that looks exactly like a pyramid.
If all of this is still a little vague to you, which is quite possible, then just watch this short video to help you better understand the plan.
Is BEMER Group Accredited By The BBB?
Yes, BEMER is accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) since 2019. Aside from that it is also rewarded an A+ rating by BBB.
It has a 2.7 stars rating for customer reviews and complaints which in my opinion is worth more than the actual rating of BBB.
Because the customers feedback are usually experiences and complaints from real people who tried the products.
What I Like About BEMER / The Pros
With the information I have shared with you, you may have already made your own judgment by now. But I still would like to give you my unbiased view of its advantages and disadvantages in relation to its different facets.
The clarity in expressing their vision and mission
First off, they are transparent on why they have started the company and their goals in developing their products. You may think that this isn’t relevant in any way possible, but personally, if a company has clear goals, they would go a long way. Which shows as BEMER has been standing since 1998.
Continuous Research and Development
Despite the different claims targeted against the company, it is clear that they hire the best researchers to improve their devices.
Their 24-hour customer support is an advantage for their customers around the world. This shows that the company is all out internationally.
Even for people that are not from the US.
What I Dislike About BEMER / The Cons
A Confusing Number of Websites + Typography Errors
For a relatively “big” company, the confusion I experienced just browsing through their website/s is astounding. They have too many websites catering to different functions, as well as constant errors in wording, which is a disadvantage in more ways than one.
A vague explanation of how BEMER devices work
It is confusing for potential customers to know how to use their devices as these details are not listed on the website. With the accusations pointed at them about how their devices do not work, this con only fuels the fire.
A lack of transparency on aspiring distributors
As per the allegation discussed previously, BEMER does not list how to be a distributor and new ones must first purchase devices as well as a training package. Not only is this sketchy, but it also disrespects a potential dealer’s rights.
After everything we have talked about in this article, one question still remains...

Is BEMER Group a Scam?
As a business/company, I personally do not think that it is a scam.
They have been in business for more than two decades, and that in itself means that they are doing something right. They continue to grow their sales every year and employ more people.
Their devices, however, are a different story. Despite being FDA class II cleared consumer medical device, it still lacks scientifically proven evidence.
According to Professor Markku Myllykangas from the University of Eastern Finland, any detailed information about the devices and their mechanisms of action are not available nor are they used in public health care due to this.
Such claims from researchers must not be taken lightly. At this day and age, their opinions about topics that could possibly affect our health, immediately or in the future, must always be prioritized.
Personally, I don’t necessarily trust celebrity or influencer testimonials about products such as the BEMER devices. They are most likely paid to give a one or two-sentence review without actually using the device.
Just because we idolize someone doesn’t necessarily mean that we have to use the products they promote, am I right?
My Final Words
I hope this article has answered your curious questions regarding the BEMER Group and its business, company, devices, etc.
It will always be up to you to trust a company, whether it be before purchasing their products or for becoming a distributor of their devices.
It is always a risk whenever you get yourself into a new business venture, especially for something you have never heard of before. Or something you have to invest money into before receiving a return from such an investment.
It is not even guaranteed whether you’ll lose or win with your investment. That is the risk you’ll have to take, so you realize that you better know what you’re getting into.
That is the reason why we are here to enlighten you through these kinds of articles. Not only are these informational, but these articles give you an unbiased view of the company whilst being short and sweet.
How I Made Thousands Online In 1 Year?
By reading my review on BEMER Group, you should know by now that I am not a big fan of MLM, and that's not because I hate them or anything.
Personally, I had a very bad experience with MLM thus why I am not recommending it to anyone.
However, there is a business model I do recommend, and it's called affiliate marketing.
The reason why? let me tell you why.
- You don't need to purchase any products to make money.
- You don't need to recruit people to actually make money.
- You can promote more than 1 product.
And the best thing is, it is completely FREE to get started with.
If you don't like it, no problem. But why wouldn't you try something that's RISK-FREE in the first place?
I was a manager at a phone shop while I was doing this as my side hustle, and now, I can work beside the infinity pool whenever I want . (but don't do that...sunburn xD)
I'm not that special, I know you can do it, too.
