SAP Ratings: 30/100
Best Suited For: People who love to travel and want to earn something back for all the travel expenses.
Summary: This multi-level-marketing company is rather new, but even though it was launched just a few months ago, a lot of people have already jumped on the plane to make money, but are they really?
What is iBuumerang?
iBuumerang is a network marketing company and before I tell you anything about this company, I would like to tell you one thing about MLM companies in general first.
They are not something you should mess with without doing proper research.
Don’t get scared just yet, I will tell you more about it as we go on.
iBuumerang used to be called Countdown4Freedom, but for some unknown reason, they changed their name to iBuumerang.
The founder of Countdown4Freedom is the exact same guy from iBuumerang, Holton Buggs.
Buggs is known for other MLM companies like Organo Gold and IQ chain. He was the chief visionary officer from Organo.
This MLM company offers travel discounts and the opportunity to make money while you are at it with their own search engine called iGo.
What confused me the most about this MLM company is why they changed their name, if you somehow managed to find out, let me know.
And since this MLM company is rather new, there are no lawsuits filed against them whatsoever. Usually, it is to be expected of an MLM company.
But we are still too early to even make a proper assumption, iBuumerang is just a few months old after all.
What Kind of Product Does iBuumerang Offer?
The product that iBuumerang offers, is a little bit different than you do expect from a normal MLM company.
Since this MLM is within the travel niche, again which is something you don’t see very often, their product offer is also different, it’s called a boomerang or travel site.
So basically when you sign up for iBuumerang, you will receive boomerangs, and depending on which package you purchased, that’s the number of boomerangs you will get.
You can get 5, 10, 25 or even 50.
What you can do with this is, you can give people you refer to, access to their search engine called iGo with those boomerangs. And within iGo you can find discounts.
Some of the discounts are:
- Flight Tickets
- Car Rentals
- Hotel Reservation
- And Much More
So if someone who wants to travel got referred to iGo by you, and decide to make a reservation through iGo then you will receive a commission from them as well.
Once you run out of those boomerangs or travel sites, you can purchase some more at iBuumerang.
How Much Does It Cost To Join iBuumerang?
Alright, I know you might think this is an amazing way to make some extra money if you are traveling a lot or know a lot of people who travels.
But I have to tell you that it is not FREE to send people to their engine and get paid a commission.
Here are the costs of joining:
- Become a Standby Affiliate: $49.95/m (5 Boomerangs / travel sites)
- Become a Coach Class Affiliate: $250 + $49.95/m (10 Boomerangs / Travel sites)
- Become a Business Class Affiliate: $500 + $99/m (25 Boomerangs / Travel sites)
- Become a First Class Affiliate: $1000 + $99/m (50 Boomerangs / Travel sites)
So as you can see, the monthly cost is a necessity, and the bigger the package the higher your commissions.
If you plan on joining iBuumerang, don’t go for the most expensive package just yet, try the cheapest one and see what you can do with it.
iBuumerang’s Compensation Plan
Network marketing companies have the most complicated compensation plans, let’s see if iBuumerang’s any different.
If you are new to MLM’s then you should know that understanding their compensation plan is no easy task. I have been in a few over the years.
And none of them were made for you to understand, I am not even kidding.
But don’t sweat it, I will tell you the important stuff, the part of the compensation plan you need to understand to start making money.
1. Retail Commissions: This is the type of commission you get by selling, for most MLM it is quite simple. You make a commission when you make a sale, often times a product sale.
But for iBuumerang it’s a little bit different. For example, if someone you referred to purchase a flight ticket or make a hotel reservation, you will get paid.
2. Recruitment Commissions: This type of commission is earned by recruiting people to join iBuumerang. The more people you recruit, the more you can earn.
And also the type of package you purchased has a lot to do with the amount of commission you get when you recruit someone
Here’s a list:
- Coach Class Affiliate = $20
- Business Class Affiliate = $40
- First Class Affiliate = $80
3. Residual Commissions: This type of commission is earned when your recruits are making a sale, if they referred someone to buy the tickets through iGo for example, you will also get a commission from them.
So basically you get commissions from all the people you recruited whenever they make a sale. And the amount depends on your rank and the package you are in.
You can take a look at this video, all the videos about iBuumerang’s compensation plan are at least 60 minutes long. This one is the shortened version. Take a look if you will:
Is iBuumerang a Pyramid Scheme?
Network marketing companies are almost always accused of being a pyramid scheme, and do you know why? Let me tell you why.
Or better yet, take a look at this picture first.
Do you see that? That’s how MLM companies work, people on the top can earn 1000 times more than those on the bottom.
This is also the reason why whenever an MLM is mentioned, the word “pyramid scheme” pops up together with it. Just by looking at the picture alone is enough to tell you why.
Pyramid schemes make their money by recruiting, and that’s also one of the main methods to earn you an extra income with MLM companies.
If you plan on making money by selling only, the only kind of commission you will earn is a retail commission.
And if you focus on that specific opportunity, you are leaving a lot of money on the table, because most of the income will come from recruitment and having people work under you.
With that said, no, iBuumerang is not a pyramid scheme, but it possesses very similar elements or characteristics if you will.

Is iBuumerang a Scam?
No need to dig around anymore, I will tell you that right now. iBuumerang is not a scam, but I still wouldn’t recommend this MLM company or any other MLM companies in general.
I have had a very bad experience with these MLM business opportunities before and I lost quite a lot of money, but I am not here to tell you about my story.
I did my research on iBuumerang and there are no signs of them being a scam.
They don’t cheat on people by not paying them or anything like that, but that doesn’t justify their success rate.
Not being a scam does not equal a good business opportunity.
There are far better alternatives than joining a network marketing company, and I know the bonuses these MLMs are showing are very lucrative but don’t fall for it.
Earning potential, success rate, scalability, it is basically a much better business model from head to toes.
1. New MLM Company: The advantage or the good thing about this is, being a brand new company gives you the opportunity to get the bigger piece of the pie.
MLM’s usually don’t last very long and when they do, only those who joined first are more likely to make money if any at all.
2. Unique Product: What I mean by this is, that the product or service iBuumerang is providing is not a physical one.
Unlike most MLM’s, they only have physical products. So they are different in a good way, no need to stack up on physical products if you can’t sell them.
1. Recruitment Necessity: I really don’t like this method of making money, but if you don’t, you will probably make nothing.
Recruiting is the reason how one can earn a lot of money within any MLM company, but it is also crazy hard to recruit someone to work under you.
2. A Compensation Plan For Geniuses: This is probably the most common thing multi-level marketing companies have with each other, their insanely hard to grasp compensation plan.
It feels like they don’t want you to know everything about it by making it more complicated than it should.
3. The CEO’s Infamous Past: Holton Buggs is also known for being acquainted with other MLM companies, some are called scams and others a pyramid scheme.
I wouldn’t fully trust this guy to be honest with you and neither should you, but before we make the final judgment we should take a look at those other MLM’s first. But keep your heads up.
4. Expensive Prices: The smaller packages are somewhat cheaper, but the most expensive package is really expensive. $1000 plus $99/m just to stay doing business with them? If you really plan on trying, please promise me you will start with the cheapest package there is.
My Final Verdict On iBuumerang
You should know by now that I am not a big fan of MLM companies, and I hope I have convinced you enough not to try it.
But if you still do, opt for the cheapest package first before going all in.
However, if you already snapped out of the whole network marketing thing and finally decide to take this online business thing seriously, let me help you.
I am thankful I found a better alternative to make money online and that I can finally earn enough to do what I want to do.
With just a laptop and a cup of hot cocoa in the morning, I can work whenever and wherever I want, mostly my bed.
